Do they know what it does?
That’s almost unheard of these days. I think it helps that he already had enough money, but still, a lot of people can never feel like they have enough money. Good for him!
Edit: holy shit! I just clicked the link. The game got to the point that it was making $50,000 per day! That’s insane. $50k per day for something he coded over a weekend. Man, I wish the internet still held those types of opportunities for regular people.
I read an article about him back when the game was popular. He was making $14,000 per month off the game. He said he had no plans to quit his job. I guess the sales stopped and he stopped caring. But it’s kind of weird not to care about something earning you $14,000 per month.
That red text on a blue background is atrocious.
JavaScript is used on virtually every website on the planet today though. BASIC hasn’t been used for anything in like 40 years.
Why would an internship train you on an antiquated language that hasn’t been used in decades?
Too busy riding bikes and throwing rocks at each other.
I only ever had an Atari, so I’ll go with that.
Idk where else to say this, so I’ll just say it here. I hate React.js. At first I was intrigued by it, then confused, then amazed, and finally disgusted. After years worth of working on React projects, and using React sites, I’ve finally decided it’s an affront to all good development standards. It violates so many best practices, and breaks a ton of built in browser functionality that you should get for free. So you have all these thousands of developers writing custom code for basic shit like browser history, state refresh, back buttons, etc., and half of them get it wrong. Now we have huge websites from companies worth hundreds of billions of dollars, and their sites are broken pieces of shit. So, again, I hate React.
Because Facebook is a terrible company that can’t even build a functional website. They think they know better than the entire industry, yet can’t get basic features like browser history, link sharing, back buttons, or even comments and zooming working. Fuckin idiots.
I just found one of those old switch boxes a few days ago. The boxes where the antenna and the Atari plugged in, and then you switched it to whichever input you wanted.
Thanks
