I thought that might actually be pretty effective except for the fact that the kid could easily just ignore your pages.
I think it’s good. The changes to the plot are seemingly about an alternative timeline and the more the story deviates from the original, the more weird monsters show up to try and “keep things going the way they’re supposed to.” I only have the first one, though, so I’m left on a cliff hanger and can only guess what that stuff is really all about. :/
The changes to combat are alright. Like it’s not blowing my mind but it’s also not the same boring turn-based menu system. You move and fight real time and it feels a bit like a mixture of Dark Souls and Devil May Cry.

It’s so vastly different from the original game. Not just in how it looks but also the story and gameplay. It is entirely new in almost every respect outside of the basic plot premise.
They might have had more sales for Rebirth if they, you know, released it on everything and not just 1 system.
I know I ain’t getting it until I can get it on PC where I have the first one and can continue my fuckin’ save.
The fact that Rockstar didn’t notice this is frankly shocking and speaks to the fact that they really just don’t care.
I have no love for R*, but in this case it’s more to do with the size of the company and the fact that the programmers don’t get the time to look through and find everything. Even if they did know about it, they may not get the time or resources to fix it because they have schedules and deadlines.
They almost immediately fixed the problem when that modder came to them with the fix and they even paid him a bounty for it.
BattleEye can’t stop scripting mod hacks in any other game I’ve ever played using it and that’s the number one kind of cheat used in GTA V. 🤦♂️
Garbage ads have been a thing almost since the dawn of the Internet and we found a solution to them years ago. They’re called ad blockers. If you are online and not using an ad blocker: Why? That’s like finding a $2/night hooker and not using a condom.
Now, of course, you can simply install some Libre operating system and use Lemmy, or Mastodon or whatever. But computers are so embedded into society that it is simply impossible to go without these services unless you want to get yourself isolated (and potentially in trouble with the authorities).

Cool sidenote: the Dreamcast controllers had two slots. I wonder if they had cool interactions, like the MSX, the SuFami Turbo, and the relatively more modern but more distantly related Metal Gear Solid where Psycho Mantis comments on what other games you’ve been playing based on the saves on your memory card.
They could probably read the card data (I mean, they would have to in order to load saves off 'em anyway) and do the Psycho Mantis thing. Though I can’t recall any of the games I have for it doing it. I do remember one of them being able to determine if the VMU was a full VMU or just a memory card because it wouldn’t let you install the little VMU game it had to anything but an actual VMU with a screen. Trying to put it on a 3rd party memory card that didn’t have the screen would give an error.
So is it just for 2D games? It sounds and looks a bit like RPG Maker.

But also: They got AI to replicate Doom recently. Perhaps that’s what the AI is referring to. They’re gonna AI up their own Bugsnax sequel and release it next month without the original Dev’s involvement, permission, or knowledge.

I had no opinion until just the other day when I tried it in Ghost of Tsushima for the first time because it was recommended for my setup; but it actually looked worse while just making the FPS counter stay at 60.
And it turned out that what really was wrecking my framerste ended up being FSR’s dynamic resolution scaling; I forgot to turn it off. For some reason, it constantly stutters down to 40 or below in pretty much everything I’ve ever used it on. Games actually run better with a set, static, native resolution. 🤷🏻♂️

Also: depending on the model of your TP-Link router you may be able to flash the firmware to use OpenWRT. My first time using it was with a TP-Link router; it just didn’t have every feature.
Steam and the occasional torrent is really the only time I see anything using my full internet speeds, though. But those are also used for extremely large downloads; many times larger than a streaming video.
